During 2 days, 3rd and 4th of March, several teams will work around the challenges provided by key industry partners, all based on Internet of Things. All teams will show their results to the jury at the end of the Summit IoT Izmir. The Hackathon IoT and Summit IoT will both take place at Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tınaztepe. The Hackathon IoT in the new BETA building, part of DEPARK. You can register here.
This first Summit IoT Izmir, on 4th of March, will help you getting informed and exchange ideas with likeminds. Next to the keynote speaker we will have 2 panels. In the morning we have key stakeholders from Turkiye sharing their vision. In the afternoon the panel will be representing main players in technology, highlighting their vision on IoT in future usage.

Sudha Jamthe is a globally recognized entrepreneurial mobile product leader with 20+ years experience building Consumer Mobile and eCommerce Products. Sudha loves shaping new technology ecosystems and helping businesses drive Digital Business Transformations.
She is the author of two IoT books 'IoT Disruptions' and "The Internet of Things Business Primer' and teaches the first IoT Business course at Stanford Continuing Ed School. Sudha is a champion for STEM programs and Girls Who Code and hosts mentor programs for kids at Devcamps and Hackathons.
She has been a venture mentor at MIT and Director at Bay Area Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+ Meetups. She also actively contributes to TechCrunch, Mashable, GigaOm and Venturebeat as a respected technology futurist. She is an advisor for Blockchain University and Barcelona Technology School.
Murat Ozgoren , M.D. PhD., is a professor of Department of Biophysics, Faculty of Medicine and vice rector of Dokuz Eylul University. He has contributed to foundation of first health related technology development zone of South Eastern Europe and MENA region. He has outlined the international health technologies accelerator programme and international soft-landing for technology transfer.
She is currently working as Manager for Ecosystem Development in Turkey since 2010 and run 5 succesful SmartCamp Istanbul startup event in Turkey, and also run IBM SmartCamp Regional finals for 4 continents (Asia, Australia, Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) in Oct 2013 and for MEA in 2015.
Oğuz İÇOĞLU completed his bachelor and master degrees from Istanbul Technical University Computer Engineeering Department in 1998 and 2001 respectively. During 2000-2003, he worked on pattern recognition, image processing and MPEG-7 projects in TÜBİTAK Multimedia Group. Between the years 2003 and 2006, he developed image processing applications for the utilization of Building Automation in Vienna University of Technology. After the completion of his doctorate degree, he returned to TÜBİTAK in 2006 and worked for several projects in Information Technologies Institute. In these projects he took charge in signal processing, software development and software process management activities. During the years 2009-2011, he managed the software development process of the Institute. Dating from the beginning of 2015, he continues his studies as the manager of Cloud Computing and Big Data Analytic Systems Division.
He has started his Siemens career with Sales & Marketing Engineer in 2001. After 4 years in this position, he took resposibilites as Sales & Marketing Specialist and Sales & Product Maneger. In 2011 he has become the Head of Digital Factory , Motion Control Business Unit. And now he is Head of Area Sales & Partner Management at Siemens.
He is a professional economist with 10-year experience at the public sector (Government of Turkey / Antitrust Department), non-profit / research (TEPAV, Turkey's premier think-tank), and international organizations (World SME Forum, G20, previously World Bank) -- and now I join GE, the world's digital industrial company.
He has established and managed networks of senior policy-makers, business executives, innovators and scholars, and created platforms for public - private partnerships to enable entrepreneurs and private companies to foster growth and create jobs.
Areas he has been involved in include innovation & entrepreneurship, antitrust & regulation, and business diplomacy.
He worked as Assistant General . Starting from 1995, he served as a member of Executive Committee of Vestel, where he was responsible from strategic planning, and investor relations. He is currently a Board Member at Vestel.
As an UNDP consultant in Vietnam, he conducted a study for the development of local electronics industry. He is a founding board member of the Turkish Informatics Society (TBV) and the Turkish Unix Users Group. In 2005 he received the "Lifelong Service Reward" from TÜBİSAD.

Gartner predicts that IoT will provide USD1.9 trillion in value-add across all IoT sectors in 2020. We believe that connectivity is the key enabler for making the Internet of Things happen and cellular has an important role to play.
